As a young boy, Jay Cornelius had a burning passion. A passion for sitting in his dad's La-Z-Boy in the basement and watching TV. Usually HBO. In high school, he forsook his schoolwork so he could watch Major League and Real Genius every time they aired. (For some reason, those two shows were on TV a lot.) Now he works in television and he doesn’t have cable anymore, but at least he can write off his Netflix account as a business expense.

He is a director of photography, director, writer, editor, gaffer, and producer. He has edited and shot shows for the History Channel, A&E, PBS, HGTV, Discovery-Times Channel, and the Outdoor Life Network. He has also produced and shot independent films--including Sky directed by Stephen Koh, and Moving Mike directed by Michael O'Donnell, both currently in post production--and produced, directed, and shot many shorts. He is also no stranger to commercials and PSAs.

He likes to fill his time with character-building projects that get started and have no end in sight. In that vein, he is learning Polish, building an accounting relational database in FileMakerPro, re-learning javaScript, and turning his home office into a woodshop. But he’ll throw all of that away when he starts working on his next project, whatever that may be.
